Count down!

Well this road trip of excitment is quickly coming to a close and we are welcoming the end to a this house to house transition. It has been enjoyable to visit family and meet new friends as we spoke at different churches, thank you all so much!
We are now in Maryland and upon arriving we spent our first night caring for our oldest child with fever and vomit and feeling a very rare 3.6 earth quake! It is a very fitting situation for the Phillip's family to have this sort of night =) Those of you who are just getting to know us will enjoy praying for some of these rare situations and you will ask "Can all of this happen to one family?" The answer is yes and though we don't always enjoy it, we know you will find it interesting and at times amusing.
Cameron and I enjoyed our ten year anniversary on July 15th! We enjoyed traveling to the smokey mountains and spending the day with our little boys. I will include a picture of this trip.
This coming week Cameron and I will be working on aquiring our visa for Bulgaria. Please pray that this process will go smoothly and our application will be accepted. We have received a tenative departure date of October 11th and ask for prayers regarding the airport process: packing, customs, lay overs, active toddlers, saftey, and overall adjustments. Pray for Cameron and I to have the ability to be flexible to any changes that will be out of our control and an attitude that will be pleasing to Christ and not to our flesh. I am aware that when traveling, exhausted and trying to manage two small boys our tempers can be short and we want to begin praying for our mindset to be one of calmness and love towards each other and those around us.
Thank you for your love and support and we really appreciate everyone who opened up their homes and hearts to us during this

  1. Happy late anniversary! Hope things have settled down a little. I mean, it's you, so I know they haven't settled down totally, but I hope you're at a more comfortable level of chaos, at least. ;) We had an earthquake in Atlanta once when I was pregnant with Maddy. I slept right through it, but Kirk felt it and woke up. We'll miss you at VBS next week! Love you!

  2. Hello Phillips family! My name is Erica McCartney and I am a member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church in West Monroe, Louisiana. I just got back with a team from our church from Montana, Bulgaria! I am so excited about the work your family is about to begin with the Roma people. I will be praying for you daily! Proverbs 16:1-3
